Brittney Ingersoll is an Independent Historian and the Curator of the Cumberland County Historical Society in Greenwich, NJ. She received her Master’s with distinction in 2018 in American History with a Certificate in Public History from Rutgers University – Camden. Ingersoll’s historical interests are 19th-century gender, sexuality, material culture, and social and cultural history. She routinely writes for CCHS’s newsletter, The Cumberland Patriot, on research pertaining to Cumberland County and has presented at invited talks at the Cumberland County Historical Society, Vineland Historical and Antiquarian Society, Greenwich Presbyterian Church, and at a Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) meeting. Ingersoll also researches and writes on areas outside of Cumberland County, mainly focusing on Philadelphia and New York City.
